Participants will have the opportunities to explore various China Entry models and learn how to apply appropriate models to the China entry strategy. Partner selection and commercial alliance will be closely examined during the class. CEO Forum (5-10 CKGSB alumni CEO)
Prof. Li Wei will make a keynote speech about his Business Confidence Index (BCI), a unique index that measures the business sentiment of Chinese executives about China’s macro-economic environment and cuts straight to the heart of the problem by asking senior executives of Chinese companies about certain aspects of their business, providing forward-looking indicators that create a true indication of the road ahead. There will be a CEO panel discussion afterwards involving a selected group of 4 CEOs to talk about Chinese economy and business with Prof. Li Wei.

Lecture: Cross cultural Management & Negotiation with Chinese
Chinese culture is uniquely different from the western culture. Participants will understand the Chinese culture roots and key differences as well as how to work with and manage a cross cultural team that does business with China to ensure effectiveness and results. Negotiation with the Chinese will offer insights of Chinese style of negotiation and what strategies western executives should deplore in negotiating with the Chinese.

Lecture: Chinese Consumer Behavior & Social Media Marketing
Participants will gain critical insight of changing Chinese consumer behaviors in the internet era. Behavior differences between Chinese consumers and western consumers will be examined. Participants will also explore a variety of social media marketing channels that can help multinational companies to engage Chinese consumer and promote their products and services.
